Vigilent Joins US Businesses Re-Affirming Commitment to Address Climate Change

Hundreds of companies urge continued United States participation in Paris Climate Agreement

(Nov. 17, 2016 ) Vigilent, the leading provider of dynamic cooling management systems, joined US businesses and the investor community in re-affirming its commitment to address climate change through implementation of the historic Paris Climate Agreement, the company announced today. Backing Low-Carbon USA, industry leaders including DuPont, General Mills, Monsanto, Schneider Electric and hundreds more pledge to do their part with innovative and cost-effective solutions to achieve an efficient and low-carbon energy powered economy.

Low-Carbon USA also calls on elected leaders to strongly support continuation of low-carbon policies, to invest in the low carbon economy at home and abroad, and to continue US participation in the Paris agreement with the goal of limiting global temperature rise to well below 2 degrees Celsius.

Business Backs Low-Carbon USA is an initiative coordinated by Ceres, the Environmental Defense Fund, the World Wildlife Fund and other environmental and government` groups calling for a just transition to a clean energy economy. The group kicked off in December 2015 to urge US and international leaders to adopt an ambitious climate agreement in Paris, coalesced again April 2016 to welcome the signing of the Paris agreement and today re-affirms commitment ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP22) in Marrakech.
