Prestigious list highlights the top private companies in clean technology
The Global Cleantech 100 List highlights the promise of private clean technology companies from around the world by focusing on companies that are most likely to make the most significant market impact within the next five to ten years.
“We are especially honored by this award because it comes from the global market leaders we serve,” said Christopher Kryzan, Vice President of Marketing, Vigilent. “They recognize not only our innovation and leadership in reducing energy usage in one of the most energy-intensive industries on the planet, but our contribution to enhancing the reliability and efficiency of these mission-critical facilities.”
Vigilent provides data center infrastructure management (DCIM) systems that optimize uptime at data centers and telecommunications facilities by using sophisticated artificial intelligence and automated, direct control to dynamically manage cooling resources. Using patented artificial intelligence (AI) technology that is self-learning and adaptive, the Vigilent system meets real-time demand in the most efficient way possible to address changing conditions including IT loads, capacity changes, and airflow.
The Global Cleantech 100 List is derived from Cleantech Group’s own data and research combined with the weighted qualitative judgments of hundreds of nominations and the viewpoints of a global panel of 75 cleantech experts. To qualify for the list, companies must be independent, for-profit, cleantech companies that are not listed on any major stock exchange.
8,285 companies were nominated this year from 85 countries. These companies were weighted and scored to create a short list of 236 companies presented to the expert panel for final input. The end result was 100 companies from 13 countries. The 75-member expert panel is broadly representative of the global cleantech community, and includes pioneers, leaders, veterans, and new entrants in cleantech.
