Vigilent Named Bloomberg New Energy Pioneer 2016 Winner

Recognized as game-changer in clean energy technology and innovation

Oakland, CA. (April 5, 2016) Vigilent®, the leading provider of dynamic cooling management systems for data centers and telecom facilities, announced today its selection as a Bloomberg New Energy Pioneer for 2016. Vigilent was one of 10 winners announced on stage last night at the Bloomberg New Energy Finance Summit in New York City.

The awards program, now in its 5th year, recognizes game-changing innovators who are revolutionizing the energy sector. An independent panel of industry experts selected the winners based on innovation, demonstrated momentum, and potential global scale.

“Intelligent software will revolutionize how energy is used,” said Vigilent President and CTO Cliff Federspiel, who accepted the award on behalf of the company. “Vigilent is committed to creating a more sustainable planet through widespread use of our technology, and we are honored to be recognized as a New Energy Pioneer.”

Michael Wilshire, selection committee chair and head of analysis and transformation at Bloomberg New Energy Finance, said: “We were delighted to see the breadth of innovation that is happening in the industry and struck by the impact that those organizations could have on the energy system of the future. We are as always very grateful to our group of external judges on the selection committee who had the challenging task of narrowing the field of entries to a final set of 10 winners.”
