U.S. Department of State-Sponsored Tokyo Event Focuses on Entrepreneurship
El Cerrito, California (Oct. 9, 2012) Vigilent®, announced today that its CEO, Mark Housley, will keynote the U.S.-Japan Symposium on Creating Venture Companies for the Next Generation, on Oct 17 in Tokyo. He will discuss entrepreneurial success based on his experience leading successful public and private companies and building U.S. Japanese partnerships.
Housley was invited by Lorraine Hariton, the U.S. Department of State’s Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs (CBA). The symposium, hosted by the Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Embassy Tokyo and the Japan Association of Corporate Executives, will be attended by government representatives, business executives, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Housley will join Tomoko Namba, former CEO of DeNA Co. Ltd., one of the largest mobile social network and gaming companies in Japan, in discussions moderated by NHK Broadcasting economic news anchor, Kaori Iida.
