On May 10, 2011, Federspiel Controls renamed itself to Vigilent®.

While we are immensely proud of what we achieved as Federspiel Controls, we believed that we had progressed far beyond being a "controls" company and wanted a name that truly reflected all of what we do and, more importantly, all that we hope to achieve going forward.

Vigilent provides intelligent energy management systems that measure, model and manage critical building and data center facilities. Our energy management system watches and worries about our clients' facilities 24/7, so they don't have to.

The unique and patented software algorithms that are at the core of our AI engine allow us to control cooling and heating resources so that not only are they safe but also far more energy efficient.

We believe Vigilent – the combination of vigilance and intelligence – is a name that reflects these values.
